The Denver Nuggets have officially announced the signing of Alpha Diallo, bringing the versatile forward back to his hometown after an impressive five-year run with AS Monaco.
Diallo heads to the NBA following another productive EuroLeague season, where he averaged 11.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 77 appearances in all competitions while helping Monaco remain among Europe’s elite clubs.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s premier two-way forwards, earning the 2026 EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year award. He was also named the French LNB Defensive Player of the Year in both 2025 and 2026, while receiving multiple All-LNB First Team selections during his time in France.
Before launching his professional career overseas, Diallo spent four seasons at Providence College, where he appeared in 130 games and averaged 12.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals. His performances earned him consecutive All-Big East Second Team honors in 2019 and 2020.
A native of Denver, Colorado, Diallo now returns home to begin the next chapter of his career with the Nuggets, hoping to translate his elite defensive ability and athleticism to the NBA.
