Fenerbahçe has officially confirmed the signing of Shane Larkin, with the experienced guard agreeing to a two-year contract with the reigning Turkish champions.
The American-born guard, who represents the Turkish national team, begins a new chapter in his career after ending an unforgettable eight-year spell with Anadolu Efes to join one of the club’s biggest domestic rivals.
Larkin will now play under head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius as Fenerbahçe continues to strengthen its roster ahead of the new EuroLeague season.
According to previous reports from BasketNews, Larkin personally paid approximately $400,000 to terminate his contract with Anadolu Efes early, allowing the transfer to be completed this summer.
Larkin leaves Efes as one of the greatest players in the club’s history. During his time with the Istanbul side, he helped lead the team to back-to-back EuroLeague championships in 2021 and 2022, cementing his status as one of the competition’s elite guards.
His trophy collection with Anadolu Efes also includes:
- 3 Turkish League championships (2019, 2021, 2023)
- 1 Turkish Cup (2022)
- 4 Turkish Super Cups (2018, 2019, 2022, 2024)
The arrival of Larkin gives Fenerbahçe another elite playmaker with extensive championship experience as the club aims to remain among the leading contenders in both the Turkish League and the EuroLeague during the 2026/27 season.
