Thomas Walkup is reportedly closing in on a departure from Olympiacos, with Dubai BC emerging as the most likely destination for the veteran guard.
According to our info, Walkup’s potential exit would have significant financial implications for the Greek club, freeing up salary space that could be used to secure the future of Tyler Dorsey.
Dorsey is reportedly seeking a new contract worth approximately €3.2 million per season, as negotiations over his long-term future continue.
Although Olympiacos holds the unilateral option to extend Dorsey’s current contract for one additional year, the player’s camp is reportedly pursuing a significantly improved agreement that would better reflect his role within the team.
Should Walkup complete his move to Dubai, the resulting financial flexibility would make it considerably easier for Olympiacos to meet Dorsey’s salary demands while continuing to reshape its backcourt ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Walkup has been one of the club’s most important players in recent years, serving as a defensive leader and floor general during Olympiacos’ domestic and European success. His departure would mark the end of an era in Piraeus but could also pave the way for a new-look backcourt built around the club’s latest additions.
At this stage, no official agreement has been announced, but developments are expected in the coming days as both Walkup’s future and Dorsey’s contract situation remain under close scrutiny.
