The future of Vasilis Toliopoulos appears to be moving closer to a resolution, with Aris Betsson and Panathinaikos AKTOR reportedly holding advanced negotiations over the Greek guard’s transfer.
According to reports, talks between the two clubs have intensified since Wednesday (15/7), with all three sides believed to be close to reaching an agreement that would bring Toliopoulos back to the Alexandrio.
Aris, coached by Vasilis Spanoulis, has moved strongly in recent days for the return of the 30-year-old international guard and appears to have taken the lead in the race, ahead of interest from PAOK.
Toliopoulos previously enjoyed a successful spell with Aris, becoming one of the team’s key offensive players and building a strong connection with the club and its supporters.
If the deal is completed, Aris would add a proven Greek scorer and experienced EuroLeague-level guard to its roster, while Panathinaikos would open space in its backcourt ahead of the new season.
