Aris Betsson closing in on experienced guard Stefan Jović

The Serbian point guard is reportedly in advanced talks with Aris Betsson as the club looks to strengthen its backcourt for the new season.

Aris Betsson is reportedly on the verge of completing an important addition to its backcourt, with Stefan Jović expected to join the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Thessaloniki side had been searching for an experienced point guard to provide greater depth at the position, and the Serbian veteran has emerged as the club’s preferred choice.

According to the report, negotiations between the two sides are at an advanced stage, and all indications suggest that Jović will play under head coach Vassilis Spanoulis next season.

Jović brings a wealth of EuroLeague experience, having represented some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Crvena Zvezda, Bayern Munich, Khimki, Panathinaikos, and Valencia Basket.

The 35-year-old spent the previous season with Bayern Munich, where he appeared in 19 games, averaging 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 18.4 minutes per game.

If the deal is finalized, Aris Betsson will add one of Europe’s most experienced playmakers to its roster as it continues to strengthen its squad for the upcoming campaign.
