Barcelona has officially confirmed the signing of Josh Nebo, with the American center agreeing to a contract that will keep him with the Catalan club until 2029.
Nebo becomes Barcelona’s latest addition as the club continues to reshape its roster ahead of the 2026/27 season, adding one of the EuroLeague’s premier defensive big men.
Speaking after completing the move, the 29-year-old shared his excitement about joining one of Europe’s most successful basketball organizations.
“When I think about this club, the first thing that comes to mind is its winning culture. Competing for the playoffs every year and fighting to reach the Final Four. I believe I can contribute with my defense, rebounding, finishing ability, leadership, and character. I hope the fans will be amazing, support us loudly, and be excited. I can’t wait to play in front of them.”
Nebo arrives from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he enjoyed another productive EuroLeague season.
During the 2025/26 EuroLeague campaign, he averaged 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 26 appearances, while playing 21.5 minutes per game.
Known for his athleticism, rim protection, rebounding, and efficiency around the basket, Nebo is expected to strengthen Barcelona’s frontcourt on both ends of the floor as the club aims to return to the top tier of European basketball.
