PAOK is reportedly attempting to complete one of the biggest transfers in recent Greek basketball history by signing Cedi Osman from Panathinaikos, according to reports in Greece.
The Thessaloniki club is said to have submitted a €2 million buyout offer to Panathinaikos while also presenting the Turkish international with a three-year contract worth €9 million.
According to the report, Osman recently explored his options after recognizing the increased competition at the forward positions on Panathinaikos’ roster. That reportedly prompted several discussions regarding his future, with PAOK emerging as the most aggressive suitor.
The report claims PAOK initially offered €1 million to secure Osman’s release before increasing the proposal to €1.5 million and then €1.75 million. Panathinaikos is said to have rejected each of those offers.
However, on Friday, PAOK reportedly returned with an improved €2 million bid, a proposal that allegedly gained momentum as Osman expressed his desire to accept the lucrative contract and take on a leading role under head coach Andrea Trinchieri.
If completed, the move would represent one of the most remarkable domestic transfers ever seen in Greek basketball, with PAOK adding one of Europe’s premier small forwards to its roster.
During the 2025/26 EuroLeague season, Osman averaged 12.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while playing for Panathinaikos.
Note: At the time of writing, neither PAOK nor Panathinaikos has officially confirmed the reported agreement. The transfer remains based on media reports.
