The EuroLeague has released its first Power Rankings ahead of the 2026-27 season, placing Panathinaikos at the top of the list despite several clubs still finalizing their offseason moves.
The Greens received the highest preseason ranking, with the EuroLeague emphasizing the impact of Zeljko Obradovic’s return to the bench. The league also praised Panathinaikos’ ambitious summer rebuild, highlighting the arrivals of Sylvain Francisco, Guerschon Yabusele, Isaac Bonga, Bandja Sy, and Moustapha Fall as key additions that have transformed the roster into one of the strongest in Europe.
According to the Power Rankings, the combination of elite talent and Obradovic’s leadership makes Panathinaikos an early favorite to compete for the EuroLeague title.
Olympiacos was ranked second after retaining the core of its championship-winning squad while strengthening the roster with the addition of Juan Montero. The defending champions remain among the leading contenders for another EuroLeague crown.
Rounding out the top five are Fenerbahce, Real Madrid, and Hapoel Tel Aviv. At the other end of the rankings, ASVEL Villeurbanne occupies the final spot, with the EuroLeague expressing concerns over the French club’s prospects heading into the new campaign.
