Sylvain Francisco is officially a Panathinaikos player. The Greens announced the signing of the French guard, who penned a three-year deal, closing a chapter that came together rapidly after the collapse of his stint with Villeurbanne.
This is no ordinary addition. The 27-year-old arrived off an outstanding season with Zalgiris, where he earned a place on the All-EuroLeague First Team, averaging 16.5 points and 6.5 assists per game. He also led the Lithuanians to the domestic title, claiming the Finals MVP award for the second season in a row.
Francisco is no stranger to Greek basketball fans: between 2022 and 2024 he played for Peristeri, where he stood out both in the domestic league and in the Basketball Champions League. His journey also includes stops at Bayern Munich, BAXI Manresa and French clubs, while he is also a French international.
